Formal Piano and Theory Lessons

From ages 3 years and up
Individual one-on-one class

One only needs to google "benefits of a music education" to find endless websites talking about how important it is to provide a child with this opportunity in their education.

We teach children as young as 3 years old to play the piano and prepare them for formal exams through the examination board of your choice. Our teachers have had many years of teaching experience and many of our students have achieved outstanding results.

There is no single method for all students, so our teachers will use a method that best suits the student.

Come in for a free 15 minute consultation with our principal teacher to discuss what your objectives and requirements are before commencing your musical education with us.

Fees are paid by the term.

Group Theory

We run group classes at different times throughout the year. Please contact us for more information.

Individual catch up classes available over the school holidays

Masterclass and Accompaniment

We believe that it is important for serious students to occasionally learn from other teachers to gain a different perspective of music. It will teach the student different interpretations, advice on technique, knowledge about a piece's context and moulds the student into a better musician.

One-off masterclasses are available with our principal teacher.

We also regularly invite guest musicians both locally and on an international level to provide masterclasses for our students. We believe that opportunities like these are essential for our students to learn from pianists who are at the top of their game.

Accompaniment services are also available.  Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Piano for Adult Students

No prior music knowledge or experience required so its never too late to learn!

Have you always wanted to learn the piano? Our principal teacher has developed her own tried and tested method that will have adults playing within months.

We can cater for those who wish to play for fun and leisure or for more the more serious students who wish to sit for exams.

Morning classes outside our opening hours are available.

Pay-as-you-go Classes

She also completed her master's course in composition and sound production at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) in 2022.

Originally from Malaysia, Fernice's musical upbringing was a delightful blend of classical and pop genres. She has been teaching children and adult students since 2019 and loves seeing students grow in their love of music! She also spends her free time playing in church bands, composing music for games and baking something sweet.

Karen

Atharv

Piano, Theory

Growing up surrounded by music and musicians her whole life, some would say Karen has grown into her roots.

She began to learn the piano at the young age of 5, taught by her mother who is also a piano teacher. From 2012, she would go on to take the London College of Music Examination (LCME) without fail every year in order to progress to the next grade. She primarily grew up learning the classical style but she is also well versed with contemporary music as she graduated with a Bachelor of
Contemporary Music Performance at the Australian Institute of Music.

Karen also took to teaching like her mother did, albeit at a much younger age. She first began to take on students as a substitute for her mother’s younger music students at the age of 15. She would then go on to discover her passion for teaching music. After getting her foot in the door with those substitute lessons, she began to take on more students at the same music school. Even going on to teaching large group/classroom lessons at the high school she graduated from. Karen holds a Diploma of teaching from the London College of Music “DipLCM in Performance” as well as a “DipLCM(TD) in Teaching”.

Karen wants to help others find the same joy and passion she did throughout her lessons.

Isaac

Piano, Theory

Atharv Joshi is an experienced pianist, music teacher, and accompanist based in Melbourne, Victoria.

Throughout his musical career, Atharv has always been versatile with his skillset. Playing not only piano, but also cello and percussion, he actively participated in various small and large ensembles through high school, including its Wind Symphony, Stage Band, Strings, various Jazz combos and classical Chamber ensembles (one of which was invited to play at the Melbourne Recital Centre in 2022 as a part of the Top Acts showcase), along with playing in a large-scale production.

Playing pieces of the AmusA level in high school, Atharv completed his VCE Music Performance in 2021 in Solo Classical Piano, studying under Dr. Sonya Mason, and went on to explore the world of Jazz Piano through VCE Music Investigation in 2022 under Kym Alexandra Dillon.

Currently Atharv is studying a Bachelor of Music specialising in Jazz Performance at Monash University, studying under Grant Windsor. While studying, he has gained numerous opportunities to learn from, and play with the trailblazers of the Melbourne jazz scene, and currently gigs around Melbourne with his jazz quartet, and other unique ensembles.

His teaching manner is informed with his wide range of experience playing different styles of music and instruments, as well as personal research into musical pedagogy, which allows him to teach his students a wide range of skills to becoming a functional, multi-dimensional piano player.

Natalie

Started learning the piano at 4, Natalie’s passion for music has grown stronger over the years. Her dedication brought her to complete ATCL and DipABRSM in piano performance, and she is currently working towards LTCL. Natalie also won several international piano competitions.

She believes that music has this magical ability to bring people together in a unique way. She strives to create a supportive and engaging space for students to improve their piano skills.

She is keen to see students feel more inspired and empowered as young musicians. Whether you’re a beginner just starting your musical journey or have played the piano before, Natalie is here to guide you every step of the way!
